One click, two finishes, one print. Add a velvety matte or brilliant gloss finish β or mix both on the same print β in a single pass, with no laminate or varnish.
Matte and gloss together, perfectly registered.
No laminate, varnish channel, or special printheads.
Scratch-resistant, odorless, instantly dry.
Finish is independent of the substrate.
Powered by Canon's Colorado M-series UVgel platform, the look is set by when the ink is cured under UV-LED light β not by a separate coating β so every finish prints durable, instantly dry, and odorless.
Velvety, low-glare finish for a premium, understated look with no reflections.
Brilliant, high-shine finish that makes colors pop with depth and contrast.
Both finishes on one print β set a gloss highlight against matte to spotlight a logo or message.
The gloss-and-matte effect is controlled by a spot channel in your artwork file, not a coating added after printing. Here is the short version β full step-by-step instructions are in the guide below.
Finish your artwork in CMYK first, then add the spot channel as the last step before saving.
Create a spot channel (Photoshop) or a spot color swatch (Illustrator) named exactly Spot2 β case-sensitive, no space.
Black on the Spot2 channel prints gloss; white stays matte. Save as TIFF or PSD β never flatten the file.
